DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN BAKU
DAY 2 BAKU
Enjoy a tour of the city. Our tour covers the central part of the city showing the most interesting historical and architectural sites. The bus tour includes acquaintance: Seaside park, Azneft Square, the Avenue of Honour and finish in “Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center”. Walk through Boulvared. Visiting of “Old Town” or “Inner City”. The territory of ” Old Town” – 22 hectares, which represents a small fraction of the total area of Baku. However, the concentration of architectural and historical monu ments, dictates the need for this excursion into a separate and make this part of Baku, perhaps the most interesting to explore. Maiden Tower (XII century), Palace of Shirvanshahs (XV century), Synyk Gala Castle, Caravan Saray, Juma Mosque – this is not a complete list of attractions of the Old Baku. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 3 BAKU/ ABSHERON
After breakfast, Drive to Absheron peninsula. Visit to Fire Temple Ateshgah (literally Fire House) is located in 30 kilometers from the center of Baku, in the south-eastern outskirts of the Absheron Peninsula. Next to this small village in the Absheron peninsula Mount Yanardagh is situated. The word “Ya-nar” in Azeri language means “burning”, and “Dagh” – “mountain”. And this is real a burning mountain – not metaphorically, but literally. Once in Absheron it had been a lot of places where natural gas coming out from the earth to the surface ignited spontaneously, but with the start of mass extraction of oil and gas in Absheron these places started to disappear. At present, it is the only place of this unique natural phenomenon – the output of natural gas to the surface. Drive to Baku. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 4 BAKU/ GABALA
In the morning, drive to Gabala. Visit to Vandam village and explore Yeddi Gozel waterfall and forest, “Nohor” Lake and tea table around the lake. Explore Tufandagh Mountains Complex. Visit to canat. Then and “Qabala Land” Amusement Park. Check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5 GABALA/SHEKI
In the morning, drive to Sheki. Sheki, one of majestic in the past cities of the East and one of the most ancient cities of Transcaucasia. Visit the Yukhari Caravansarai. Explore the Narin Kala and Albanian Temple, which was built in 5th century. Admire a magnificent Palace of Sheki Khans, which was built in 18th century. Enjoy lunch in a local restourant. In Afternoon, visit to Kish, ancient village which located a short 15 mi- nutes from Sheki city. Visit the Church, example of Caucasus Albanian architecture. According to historians, in the 1st century A.D. St. Elishe, a disciple of Thaddeus of Edessa, arrived to a place called Gis, where he built a church and recited a liturgy. The church became the spiritual center and the place of enlightenment of people of the East. Check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6 SHEKI/SHAMAKHY
After breakfast, drive to Shamakhy. On the way to Shamakhy, explore Lahij, district. Lahij, which is located behind seven mountains, has one particularity typical of all Eastern towns. Historically, there have been seven residential quarters surround-ed by seven mountains, seven springs, seven mosques and seven baths in Lahij. The reserve, which is part of the Shah-dagh National Park, is like an outdoor museum. After drive to Shamakhy. Check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7 SHAMAKHY/ GUSAR
In the morning, drive to Gusar. Visit twin waterfall. Situated at a height of about 2,000 meters, the Twin waterfalls are another beautiful spot in this area. Local waterfalls have one typical feature – they freeze in winter. Explore Mountain village Laza. In Lezgin, this village is called Latsar. The village is in the foothills of the Great Caucasus Ridge, on the slopes of Mount Shahdagh (4.242 meters) and the Shah Yaylaghi Peak and on caravan routes passing through the Main Caucasus. Laza is one of the most popular tou-rist places in Azerbaijan. There are many tourists in the village, both in winter and summer. Check in at the hotel.
