One of the mosques to be seen is the mosque of Omar Effendi of the nineteenth century. Although the plaque on it indicates that its history goes back to the nineteenth century, most of the poeple of Sheki say it to be belong to XVIII century. Its facade of burnt brick is immediately attracts attention. The bricks in the facade come forward as a ledge, forming thin arches create inter – window sections with the window tops and brick and stone masonry rows alternating each other.
